WEEK FOUR  BOOK READING

The reading assigned for this week was from chapter 3.  Chapter three was about ethics and professionalism.  In the chapter it named the three basic value orientations which are absolute, existential, and situational.  When it comes to ethical decisions different organizations have there own rules for what they believe is ethical.  Public Relations Society of America has helped with coming up and setting standards for ethical and professional practices in the industry.  With the constant growth of the media industry with advertising and promoting things it is important to know about the ethical codes and organizations that the book mentions.  It is important for PR professionals to know  their responsibility to the public, to be ethical and professional.ethics
